Please read the following terms and conditions. We are a friendly bunch who take customer service very seriously and always try our best to help.
Descriptions and images of products:
At Longboxes.co.uk we always try to give the best description of our products that we can, and usually at least one image, but quite often more, as a good quality picture answers many a question. However, the product may very occasionally vary from the image displayed, for example where the packaging has been changed by the manufacturer, or sometimes the design or colour of the product without informing us. Please note colours can also vary slightly on different types of PC monitors, so sometimes an image may appear lighter, darker or a different colour tone, from one PC to another.
We will be adding new products to the website and continually improving it, so changes to goods may be made at any time. We will do our best to keep all the information on longboxes.co.uk up to date, but if you do spot any error or problem, please let us know as we will do our best to investigate and correct where appropriate.
We endeavour to keep descriptions as accurate as possible at all times but human error can occasionally happen. Your use of the information on this site is at your own risk and longboxes.co.uk is not liable for any damages or loss whatsoever from your use of this site.
Please be aware that any discounts or promotions do not apply to postage costs.
We accept Visa credit and debit cards, Mastercard, Solo, Maestro and Visa Electron. When you buy anything from us using your card, be assured that we use secure encryption for your card details so that all your personal information cannot be hacked into. The padlock symbol on the web address bar (and https at the beginning of the web page address) is your reassurance that our site is secure for your payment. If you would prefer to pay by Bacs, please contact us first by telephoning 01332 863890 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that orders cannot be dispatched until cleared payment has been received and stock can only be held on this basis for a maximum of 7 days.
Out of Stock Items:
If for any reason an item you have ordered is out of stock our team will contact you for either your choice of replacement, the option to cancel the order or arrange a later delivery to include your original chosen item.
Delivery is included within every item price displayed, regardless of how many items you have delivered which includes postage, packaging and administration. Occasionally we do have to make an extra charge on an item if it is particularly large and bulky, but may not be heavy enough for a pallet delivery. This is because courier companies can charge by volumetric size as well as weight. Any extra charge on an item is clearly indicated.
*The above delivery applies to mainland England, Wales and southern Scotland only. For customers in Northern Ireland, The Highlands, The Channel Islands or other offshore islands, please contact us by email or phone 01332 863890 for a quote. It may not be possible to deliver some heavy items over 30KG to some destinations due to carrier restrictions. For larger orders that need to be shipped by pallet, we will confirm the cost to you once we have your delivery postcode.
We aim to despatch all goods within 2 working days of the receipt of order, and usually much quicker. Standard delivery with our specialist couriers is usually 2-3 days so you should receive your order within 5 working days. We advise having deliveries made to your work address if possible, as there is usually someone available to check and sign for a delivery. If no-one will be at the delivery address during the weekday daytime, please enter clear instructions of where you would like the package to be left in our Special Instructions box, during the checkout process. Please be aware that if the goods are left as per your instructions, it is at your own risk.
Very occasionally due to circumstances out of our control, such as late deliveries from our suppliers, inclement weather or transport breaking down, it may take longer to deliver some goods. In this case we will contact you within 72 hours of order to inform you of the expected delivery date. If this is not acceptable you will have the option of cancelling the order for a full refund.
Please contact us for a quote for your delivery to off shore Islands, Central and Northern Scotland and Northern Ireland. We can deliver most of our products to Southern Ireland, Europe and beyond, but you would need to email us first with full details of your order and your name, address and contact email and telephone number. We would need to know the quantity and name of of the items you wanted to order so we can estimate the size and weight. Please also note that you should be aware of any importy duty or tax that your country may impose.
Damaged in transit:
Please check your delivery before you sign for it, and within 24 hours. If your order looks like it has been damaged in transit, i.e. the packaging is damaged or squashed, please indicate that if possible when you sign for your delivery. Please check to see if the actual goods inside are damaged or not. If they are damaged please inform us within 2 days of receipt of the goods, as we have to register the damage with the courier service. We normally ask you to send us either a picture by email or phone image by text to show the damage, as we feel this allows us to deal with your problem quickly. We also prefer not to inconvenience you if it is not necessary to return the goods. (for example, you would have to drive into town, park up and then take a damaged item back into a shop). If advised, then return the goods within 14 days in the original packaging and you will be sent a replacement or full refund, ensuring you obtain a proof of posting and insurance cover for the value of the goods whilst in transit. When you contact us, we will advise you of the best method of return, depending on the goods concerned.
If we sent you something you didn't order, please inform us within 2 days. As long as it is returned unused and it's original packing within 14 days, you will not be charged.
Defective and Damaged Goods:
For goods covered by a manufacturer's warranty please contact the manufacturer directly.
With regard to faulty goods, the total liability of the contract of sale is limited to the amount paid by the buyer; we cannot be responsible for indirect, inconsequential or special loss.
Please note we will pay for the carriage costs involved in returning damaged or defective goods once we have been informed of the problem and advised you to return it, although we do recommend you using an insured registered carrier as the goods are your responsibility until we receive them back at our warehouse.
We will not pay for refunds or the cost of returning the products to us if it is found that they have been damaged or mistreated by the consumer.
If you wish to cancel an order please email us using the Contact Us form or telephone 01332 863890. There will be no charge and you will receive a full refund as long as your order has not been packaged or despatched. If they have been, the cost of the packaging or carriers will be deducted from your refund.
Returns & Refunds:
You may return anything to us you if are not happy with it for any reason within 28 days of receipt of goods for a full refund. But all items returned must be in perfect condition and in their un-marked original packaging, so they are in fully saleable condition at full market value. If goods and packaging are returned in less than perfect condition we will refund an amount we think fair for the condition of the goods and packaging returned.
We will not pay for the cost of returning goods to us. We would advise using a registered and insured carrier, as the goods are your responsibility until we receive them at our Warehouse.
Goods may be returned to the following address Monday to Friday between 10am-4pm (excluding Bank Holidays) www.longboxes.co.uk, Unit A Castle Business Centre, Castle Street, Melbourne, Derby DE73 8DY. We are situated just behind Melbourne Dental Practice.
Please contact us in the first instance, to let us know why you are returning your item/s by emailing us on email@example.com or ringing 01332 863890. Our office line is manned 10am-4pm Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays but as we are a 24-7 business, we are often working at other times of the day, but do not guarantee this for collections, returns etc. If we cannot resolve your issue and you still wish to return your goods, please ensure you put your customer name, address, telephone number and order number inside your package and remember the proof of posting/insurance for the value of your goods in transit. Refunds will normally be made within 30 days of receipt of your goods.
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Please note our products are only available only to individuals that can form legally binding contracts under applicable law. If you do not qualify, please refrain from ordering from us.
Any information we have about you will only be used by www.Longboxes.co.uk in order to process your order or answer any query. We may occasionally forward some information about our company that we think you might be interested in, but if you do not wish to receive this information, email unsubscribe to firstname.lastname@example.org. All emails we send you will always have an unsubscribe link in. We will not forward your information to any third party and will always comply with the Data Protection act 1998 and GDPR. Credit card information is never kept by us once an order has been processed. This website uses Google Analytics by which anonymous data is collected and saved for marketing and optimisation purposes. All visitor data is saved using an anonymous user ID to aggregate a usage profile. Cookies may be used to collect and save this data, but the data is not personally identifiable. The data will not be used to identify a visitor personally and is not aggregated with any personal data. The collection and storage of data may be refused at any time, with effect for the future.
